Description

The Feb. 2023 blizzard in the Los Angeles area provided an opportunity to capture some very rare images.  It was billed as the first blizzard for this area since 1989.  The winds were fierce and the rain was impressive in the Southern California area.  And of course the local mountains received a beautiful blanket of snow which I had not seen before.   Today’s photograph (Feb. 26) taken the day after the storm, has the clouds still blocking what must be an amazing display on the mountains.  The row of photographers lined up on the ridge in Kenneth Hahn park waited patiently most of the day, but most of us left without capturing the image that we know is there.  Sometimes you take what you can get and hope for another opportunity.   This is how Downtown LA looked on this day.
