Cruising south from Conway on beautiful HWY 16 during the peak of Autumn color in October, I caught a glimpse of this beautiful little spot where the Chocorua river forms a small lake with all the right surroundings. The damn and waterfall marks the point where the river flows underneath Deer Hill Rd. and resumes its journey south. With the New Hampshire Autumn colors looking as magnificent as one could imagine, I had hustled to many locations on this day. With time running low, and an important dinner reservation looming, I jumped out of the car and quickly acquired the shots for what is now one of my favorite images.
