Description
On a perfectly clear day I searched for an effective vantage point to capture the entirety of the Golden Gate bridge. I settled on a location just a few yards from an old coastal gun battery called Battery Wagner. You can certainly tell that it had been idle for quite some time. In fact it was deactivated in 1917 when the 5″ guns were needed overseas in WWII.
From 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Sept 13, 2019 at an excellent viewpoint I was able to capture this huge image of the bridge nicely illuminated by the sun in the late afternoon. The gargantuan boat fron the NYK line international shipping company was an impressive site to see, and a great accent to this photo. From what I could gather from their website, this boat was likely the arrival of finished autos into port.
